Why aren't your prices higher?
Our prices at Rolle Technologies are lower because we ONLY charge as much as we have to. It does you no good if you
have to go into bankruptcy in order to get your website established! At Rolle Technologies, we try to do what we can
to help you while keeping our prices low and fair. |
Why do you charge a setup fee?
The bulk of the work for your website is in the setup. It is during this time that many hours are spent doing research
(where applicable), finding just the right look and feel for your website, and coding any special requests that you might have.
While we still charge a lot less than many of our customers, we try to make a fair estimation of the time involved so that you
pay as little as you have to. |
What is included in the maintenance fee?
Your monthly maintenance pays for Rolle Technologies' services in keeping tabs on your website to make sure that it functioning properly.
If for any reason it is not, we will take immediate action (up to and including switching web hosts to make sure that you stay connected!)
This also allows you to submit minor changes that do not require any web design (up to 3 times per month). |
How do I know what size website I need?
Good question! Glad you asked. the size of your website depends largely on your needs. A 3 page website is suitable for most needs.
However as you start to specialize more or want to get more information out, but have it displayed on its own page, larger websites will be
necessary. A 5 page website is ideal for many mid-level business. A website up to 10 pages is very helpful when you have a lot to push. |
How long will it take to build my website?
Most websites are built quickly. Rolle Technologies tries to give you definite guidelines so that you know when to expect your website to be
ready. In most cases, we will have the first page up and completed within 24 hours so that you have an established web presence. We
guarantee the you website will be up and running within the following guidelines: 3 page websites--within 3 working days; 5 page
websites--within 5 working days; 7 page websites--within 7 working days. |
Why do you bill webhosting on a yearly basis?
There are several reasons why we bill annually for web hosting packages. First and foremost is that our affiliates are able to give you a price
break when we bill for one or more years at a time. Secondly, it is one less for you to have to worry about and for Rolle Technologies to have
to keep track of. Billing yearly also allows you receive benefits with your account that you would not have received on more frequent billing
schedule. |
Do you use templates or do you build from scratch?
Both! Many people like the clean-cut and professional look offered by some templates. Rolle technologies is not beyond trashing the template
mentality and building the website you want the way you envision it. We are not restricted to the rigid form of a template where we just cut
and paste information. If have a desire for how you want your website to look and it can be done--we'll do it for you! We have built many of
our client's websites from scratch--in fact, that's how we got started, and we are still willing to use all of the skills at our disposal for
yours as well. |
Do you set up shopping carts for e-commerce?
Yes, we will set up a shopping cart for your website at an additional cost. We cannot state how much that it without speaking with you and
finding out your specific needs. There are also a wide variety of shopping carts available. The shopping cart you choose will have some bearing
on the pricing. |
Do you use CGI scripts when building sites?
Yes! Most or our affiliates offer pre-packaged CGI scripts that cover just about every need. In those cases where what you need is not covered,
we will find a script that will work for you. If we are unable to locate a script, then one of our developers will write the necessary script if
it is at all possible to do. |
Is Rolle Technologies a web hosting company?
No. Rolle Technologies is not a web hosting company at this time. However, we have set the wheels in motion to make this one of our offerings.
In this way, we will be able to cut out the "middle man" and deal with 100% of your services at our site. This will also allow us to have complete
control over the content on the servers. Look for our Web hosting offerings to be announced sometime around mid 2007. |
What happens when my web hosting terms is up?
Most people want to maintain their internet presence, particularly after all of the hard work that is put into it. Rolle Technologies will
invoice you for the next period of service (in most cases, 1 year) when your is 30 days from expiration. If you choose to renew, all you have
to do is remit the annual fees for the next year and your website will go on functioning without interruption. |
Should I find my own web host?
Finding your own web host is a tricky proposition because there are a lot of web hosting companies out there. You are welcome to do this yourself--in
which you become fully responsible for making sure the site is kept online, Be careful when shopping around and getting a "cheaper" deal because
sometimes you get just what you pay for! Read the small print and shop carefully. Using one of our
affiliates is a good place to start. |
How big can my newsletter be?
How big do you need it to be? Most newsletters are brief updates and do not encompass a large number of pages. Rolle Technologies will help you set
up a template for a Newsletter that is up to 10 pages. This is sufficient for most business. Anything over this amount will incurr an
additional charge. |
Do you do print ready newsletters?
Yes, we will make a "print-ready" newsletter for you and ship or e-mail it to you in time for distribution. |
Do you offer printing services for newsletters?
No. Rolle Technologies does not offer printing services. That is beyond the scope of our business, but the files that we provide you with can
be taken to any printer in order to have your newsletter published for distribution. |
What intervals do you publish newsletters at?
In the interest of keeping up with our workload we will only guarantee a bi-weekly (or longer) print interval for print-ready newsletters.
Online newsletters can be changed/modified with "fresh" information starting with weekly publication intervals. |
What are the benefits to an online newsletter?
Online newsletters can be updated quickly and easily and can get out to your customers faster. An online newsletter also has the ability to
reach a much wider audience for a very small fraction of the cost of mailing a newsletter. Online newsletters can also give you an avenue of
